A. 請問英文逗號怎麼寫

英語中常用的標點符號有句號、逗號、冒號、分號、問號、感嘆號、破折號、引號、省字型大小和連字型大小等。
英語的標點符號與漢語的標點符號有很多相同之處;但亦有一些區別。如下：
1)英語的句號須用實點「.」，漢語則常用一小圓圈「。」。在科技文獻中，漢語也可以用實心句點表示句號。
2)英語里有省字型大小「』」，漢語則沒有。
3)漢語有書名號「《》」，如《新英漢詞典》，英語則沒有。英語表書名常用每一個詞的第一個字母大寫的方式，如A New English Chinese Dictionary，在文中常用斜體字表示。
4)漢語還有頓號，英語也沒有。
逗號表示很短的停頓，其用法可分為：
1)用於並列詞語之間，連詞之前用不用逗號均可。如：
There are many theatres, museums, and libraries in Paris. 巴黎有許多劇院、博物館和圖書館。(逗號用於並列名詞之間)
He was a weak, small, spare old man. 他是一位瘦小體弱的老人。(逗號用於並列形容詞之間)
Bill saluted, turned, and went out. 比爾敬禮，轉身，走了出去。(逗號用於並列動詞之間)
He should, or rather must, attend better to his studies. 他應該，更正確地說，必須更加註意自己的學業。(逗號用於並列的情態動詞之間，or rather之前須用逗號)
Young Jolyon, his wife, his two children, and his dog Balthasar, were out there under a pear-tree. 小喬利安，他的妻子，他的兩個孩子，以及他的狗巴爾薩莎爾，都在外面的梨樹下。(逗號用於並列的短語之間)
2)用於描述性定語之前。如：
The ground was covered with crocuses, yellow, violet, white. 地上覆蓋著藏紅花，有黃色的，紫色的，白色的。(描述性定語是形容詞)
The meeting, attended by over five thousand people, welcomed the Chinese delegation. 他們集會歡迎中國代表團，到會的有5千多人。(描述性定語是一過去分詞短語，前後都有逗號)
The servant led me through a passage into a room, in there was a fire. 僕人領我經過一個通道進入一個房間，房間里生著火。(描述性定語是一從句)
3)用於同位語之前。如：
She was dressed in grey, the colour of a pigeon』s feathers. 她一身灰色，即鴿毛色。
We, his students, listened eagerly, busily taking down his words. 我們作為他的學生都認真聽講，不停地把他的話記下來。
在圖書索引中，姓與名之間常須用逗號。如：
Shaw, George Bernard 1856-1950 蕭伯納(1856-1950)
Twain, Mark 1835-1910 馬克•吐溫(1835-1910)
4)用於某些主語補語之前或之後。如：
He turned a little, so that he could see her better; then he began to watch her, fascinated. 他微微轉身，以便能對她看得更清楚一些;接著他就開始盯著她看，他被迷住了。(主語補語fascinated前有逗號)
Jubilant, he broke out the bottle of champagne. 他非常高興，就打開了那瓶香檳酒。(主語補語jubilant後有逗號)
5)用於某些用作狀語的詞語之前或之後。如：
「What is it?」 whispered Edith, fearfully. 「出什麼事啦?」伊迪絲低聲說道，她感到害怕。(狀語fearfully之前有逗號)
The next day, late in the evening, Charles was killed by a group of white men. 第二天深夜，查爾斯被一夥白人殺害了。(the next day與late in the evening是用作狀語的兩個短語，第一個短語之後有逗號，第二個短語之後也有逗號)
She』s far too considerate, if I may say so. 她太體貼人了，如是我可以這樣說的話。(if引導的狀語從句位於句末，其前有逗號)
He swore, come what would, he would never strike again. 他發誓，無論如何，再也不打人了。(讓步狀語從句come what would的前後皆有逗號)
6)用於置於句首的直接引語之後。如：
「Yes, yes, I』ll bear it in mind,」 said Mr. Wakam hastily. 「是，是，我會把它牢記在心的，」韋克姆先生急忙說。
「Well, really,」 cried Hanse, 「it is very kind of you to ask.」 「啊，真是，」漢斯高聲說道，「謝謝你問我好。」(這里直接引語被分為兩部分，第一部分之後須用逗號)
7)用於兩個分句之間。如：
We』re here anyway, and that』s luck. 不管怎樣我們終於到這里了，真是幸運。(連詞and之前有逗號)
The hero is dead, but his name still lives. 英雄雖死猶生。(連詞but前有逗號)
有時兩個分句之間，亦可不用連詞。如：
Some persons like to eat radishes, others prefer cabbages. 有人喜歡吃小蘿卜，有人則喜歡吃洋白菜。
兩個分句較短或關系較密切時則可不用逗號。如：
Law is one thing and right is another. 法律是一回事，公理是另一回事。
Please come for I am ill and must see you. 請來吧，因為我病了，必須見你。
8)用於獨立成分之前或之後。如：
Comrades, I love you. 同志們，我愛你們。(演說開頭所用的comrades，friends，ladies and gentlemen等之後亦常用逗號，與漢語用冒號不同)
Hey, where』s the tickets? 嗨，票在哪兒?
What was worse, we had no watch or clock. 更糟的是，我們沒有表也沒有鍾。
Hello, Bill. 你好， 比爾。
Crocodiles, in fact, do not particularly like human flesh. 鱷魚事實上並不特別喜歡人肉。
在較長的主語之後有人也用逗號，如Workers of the Baiyin City Knitting Mill in Northwest China』s Gansu Province, are manufacturing children』s knitwear.(中國西北甘肅省的白銀市紡織工廠的工人們正在紡織兒童服裝)
書信末尾的Yours sincerely(多用於英國)或Sincerely yours(多用於美國)之後須用逗號。逗號還常用於日期和地址。如：
October 1 , 1949 1949年10月1日
25 Suzhou Street, Beijing, China 中國北京蘇州街25號
