『壹』 英語日記

Today I am told to sing a song with one of my classmates. I can』t decide to choose which song to sing. I like singing but when I sing English songs, I』m very nervous because I don』t often sing English songs. In my impression, my spoken English is not very standardized. But there is a common saying says: A penny saved is a penny earned. So I think if I practice more and more, I will speak it well.
It is a sunny day today, so I』m very happy to see the sunshine. Yesterday I felt cold but today I feel much better.
I think the English class given by English teacher has much difference with those given by Chinese teacher. The Chinese teachers attach importance to the grammar but English teachers attach importance to speaking and new words. So I like to learn here.

July 21st Thursday Sunny
On the way to the classroom, beautiful scenery went in my sight. Both sides of the road stood plenty of trees, green and tall. When raising my head, I got a view of many lovely birds flying freely in the blue sky. Then I was lost in thought.
How much I wished I were a bird, which could go wherever it wanted and do whatever it liked. Impossible as it was, I still felt very happy, for I was a man who had the ability to imagine and enjoyed the happiness it brought!
As I walked on slowly, a bright simile bloomed on my face.

July 22nd Friday Sunny
Chance
Every now and then, people complain they just miss the chance again and again. They may feel depressed for a long time, thinking luck will never bless them.
However, as a matter of fact, chances just exist around us. It』s no use waiting for the next chance or regretting having missed a chance. It is not whether there still are chances for you but your being ready for the chances which are on the way that really matters. Therefore, we should make full use of time. Only in this way can we keep calm when facing difficulties. And then we can catch the chance and enjoy the happiness it brings.

July 22nd Friday
Today is Friday. It』s fine today. Good weather!
Matt』s class was in the morning. It was a little more interesting. We talked about American football. First Matt showed us a magazine about his high school』s football team and other information on football matches. Then he let us watch a movie called 「Friday Night Lights」. That was the name because high schools have football matches only on Friday nights. He also told us other things about football. I don』t like American football because it is too violent. However, I like the movie.
I find that it』s getting more and more difficult to write a diary, a 100-qord diary!

July 24th Sunday
At weekends we have no lessons, but we have many interesting activities.
On Saturday afternoon, we watched the movie Forrest Gump in the classroom. It』s a good movie. It』s very moving, sad and happy. You can learn a lot from the movie. Forrest is stupid but he』s also very clever.
On Sunday we had singing contest. I am one of the contesants. My song』s name is One Love. It』s a song of Blue, a British music group. I went into the 「Final Seven」. But other contestants were really excellent. I didn』t get any prizes. Another contestant from our class called Candy was the third-place winner. Congratulations to her! Though I didn』t get prizes, I was very happy. I tried my best.
P.S: All the contestants were girls except me!

July 26th Tuesday
Two years ago, my father asked me if I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. I said No at once because I didn』t like this job at all. But now, I change my mind. A month ago I went to see the doctor. I found that many doctors weren』t careful enough to look over the patients. They liked to give the patients the most expensive medicine. I was very angry. So I make up my mind to be a doctor in the future. Doing this is very rewarding because it can help save people』s lives and make people healthy. My grandma died of cancer. I want to heal people who have cancer. Now we have no ideas and no good medicine to heal those people. Cancer makes many people lose their lives, makes their relatives cry hard and spends much money. So I will work hard from now on. I wish I could work out this difficult problem with other friends.

July 22nd Friday
One day, a lovely rabbit went to the beautiful forest. Suddenly a wolf jumped out of the forest and told the rabbit: 「Hello, my dear, my love. I love you forever. Can you marry me?」 The wolf gave her a big beautiful flower which smelled really good. The rabbit thought for a while then she told the wolf: 「OK, no problem, but I want something else, can you give me?」 「Of course, if you marry me, I will give you what you want,」 the wolf thought, 「Hmm, if you marry me I will eat you, so foolish!」 The rabbit said: 「First I want a big ice; secondly, I want a big treat; thirdly, I want a big mirror. Then I will marry you.」 The wolf went to look for a big ice, he climbed a tall mountain, but when he carried some ice with his mouth, the ice is beginning to melt. He did many times, finally he failed so he died.

July 27th Wednesday Sunny
My Hometown
My hometown is very big. I am going to show you around my hometown.
First, here is my house. I live in a small house, we have a garden. My mother grows vegetables and flowers in the garden.
Outside the garden the garden is a bus stop. It takes about twenty minutes to get to the nearest town. There are lots of buildings there. There is a shopping mall, a youth center and a cinema. There is also a park near the center of the town. My favorite place is the youth center. I often go there with my friends after school. There are lots of things to do there and I am always busy.
I like going into town on my bicycle. The town is near the sea. I sometimes go swimming in summer when it』s warm and sunny. There is not much pollution in the town because cars cannot go into the center of the town.
I have lots of friends here: I think it』s a wonderful place to live in. I hope you can come and visit it soon.

July 26th Tuesday Sunny
In the morning, we see a new friend. Although I don』t know his name, I meet him. And I think this boy looks like Edison. He is handsome. Later we make up some short plays and my group also show our play. Our story talks about a magician helping some fishes. And we got No.1.
In the afternoon, we play a game. It is so much fun!
Although the class is still boring, I think, in our life, we still can find some happiness!
Nice mood! Nice weather! Nice day!

July 26th Tuesday Sunny
Our classroom is big and bright.
Opposite the door are clean windows. In the front of the classroom is a platform. Teachers』 desk is just on it. A blackboard is on the front wall. There are 30 desks and 50 chairs in our classroom. On the wall next to the blackboard is a map. It is a map of Germany. Our classroom is very clean.
Everyone in my class loves our classroom. It』s our common home.
July 25, 2005 Shadow
I went back home this weekend. I have stay at home for almost a month since the summer break began, I never thought stay at home was great when I was at home, but when I came back to home is the best place for me in the world.
The strong wind was gone, I feel so sad. The weather become hotter and hotter. I can』t bear the sun anymore. As far as I know the swimming pool in this university hasn』t done yet, that is so awful.
It is the hottest summer in the history of Hangzhou, the temperature stay above 30 degree centigrade every day. The summer becomes hotter and hotter every year, that would be very bad to the earth.

July 25, 2005 Monday
There was an English songs singing competition last weekend. Our class won the fist prize. We were all very happy. Though I didn』t take part in it. I felt nervous for the two contestants. But their behavior was so good that I thought it was no necessary to worry about them. The winner, Chen Liang, lives in the room that is opposite to mine. Before the competition, I could always hear her sing loudly at night. She practiced so hard that I think she deserves to win.
Today I knew a new English teacher who is from Wuxi, Jiangsu. He asked us to play a game. The rule was simple. We should only say a word which begins with the last letter of the word that the student before you said. The student who can』t say the word in 30 seconds should perform for everyone. The game was easy, but some of us were still asked to perform. Some of us gave others a hint. Then he asked us to stop and told us we must obey the rule, or the game couldn』t help us. He also told us something else about it. I think what he said was quite profound. I felt happy to know him.
July 27, 2005 Wednesday
Today our Chinese teacher taught us a song. We learnt fast but sang it too loudly. He also asked us to retell a story. Something like those is very interesting. 2.5 hours passed quickly. Jessica gave us some pictures and asked us to write a story in 30 minutes, from one of the pictures. We discussed and finished it very well I think life here is becoming more and more interesting. At school we just learn grammar and do exercises in English classes, that』s really very boring. There will be a speaking competition on Saturday. I』m not willing to take part in it because I』m a little afraid of speaking before so many people. I have made a speech in junior middle school, I stood before 2000 students and felt very upset and nervous. Though I finished the speech, I don』t think my behavior was good. Maybe you think I need more practice, but I think I』m not good at speaking. I do better in writing than in speaking. I know I should be confident with myself, but I think I won』t speak very well in front of so many people. Even though I have learnt the article by heats when I stand on the stage. I may forget all of it that』s really a terrible thing.

Today we saw a movie at noon and in the afternoon. It』s name suggested that it was a horrific one, but it wasn』t horrific at all. We finished watching at 5:30pm, and walked to our dormitories when we got there, it was 6:00. we had our dinner as quickly as we could and then rushed to the classroom. I』ve never been in such a hurry! In the afternoon we acted. We watched to a short play for three times and the teacher asked us to act. It was a little difficult, because we couldn』t remember all the sentences by watching the play for three times. We tried to remember something. Though the play had been changed a little, it was still very good we all acted very well. The teacher also gave some group prizes. Though my group hadn』t hot once, I didn』t mind.

There is one thing that made me very happy. One of my classmates said 「happy birthday 」 to me by sending a message. Though it was late, I still felt happy.

July 24, 2005
Matt gave us a class this afternoon, at the first part of the class, we saw a film. It was mainly about American football. After the film, we began t get to know the American football. It is similar to soccer, but it was much rougher. Players might get more easily. In another word, it was a game full of danger, they played just like fighting. One of the players just broke his leg ring the match, and he would never play American football, because of his leg. What a pity! Matt told us that when he was in high school, he also take part in American football. He had broken his fingers for three times and his leg for once. Then I was puzzled, it was a very dangerous game, why was is popular?
July 25, 2005
How time flies! A week has passed before I noticed it. Thinking back at the things that happened ring last week, I found the life here full of happiness and interests.
I can still remember the first day of the summer camp. I came to my bedchamber by myself. When I opened the door, I saw a girl with short hair sitting in a chair with a book in her hand. She must be a quiet girl who liked reading, I thought to myself at the time. As soon as we said hello to each other, another girl came in with a big noise. Her name was Rose. She was so outgoing and humor that both Cherry and I wouldn』t help laughing immediately. Then we studied and had meals together, and became good friends.
I can』t forget the day we spent together, I will remember these pressure seconds forever no matter how far we will be part in the future.

24th July Sunday Sunny
Today is an exciting day. In the morning we had the singing contest. Everyone did well in it. Somebody sans lyrics and somebody didn』t. When the result came out, only Audrey and Ellison could be in the second run. Vanessa was very sad. But finally she was in the second run. It was really great news for her.
We stayed in our rooms for the whole afternoon. We played cards, slept, read, practiced some English songs for the contest and did out homework. It was a little boring.
In the evening, we had the final singing contest. It was really great. At last, Vanessa got the second prize. Congratulations to her! All of us were proud of her. Edle gave her a bunch of flowers! Then we returned to our rooms.
It was really a good day today!

July 24th, 2005 Sunday Sunny
Today was a day for music, because we had the preliminary contest in the morning and we would have the final contest in the evening.
After the preliminary contest, we thought that only one program could go on next at first. It mad Vanessa sad. This result gave us a big surprise. At last, we knew that she got the first place of girl』s vocal music. Why she couldn』t pass at first was because she didn』t use the match music. Just like a joke! However, we all thought that she sang well all the time no matter whether she could pass or not.
In the evening, Vanessa, Ellison and I took part in the music contest. Vanessa sang almost perfectly and she go the second prize and last. I don』t think Ellison and I sang well. Ellison forgot the words of the song and my voice was a little mb. Maybe Ellison felt a little nervous and I didn』t feel very natural on the stage. We haven』t got any prize. It was a little pitiful. Besides, my mother and uncle came to see me last night, so they could hear the song I sang by chance. I thought I should take part in activities more and be on the stage more.
After the music concert, my mother, my uncle and I talked a lot in my room. I felt happy to see them and talk with them.

Monday July 18th 2005
Today is the first day of the summer camp. The weather is not very good. It rained some time.
I got up very early this morning and walked in Zhejiang University. How large and beautiful Zijingang campus is! After breakfast, we went to take part in the opening of the summer camp. A lot of teachers and schoolmates were there. My best friend Daisy gave a speech. It was successful. After it, our foreign teacher came and we had classes. We introced ourselves. Our teacher spoke quickly, so I couldn』t understand her at all.
In the afternoon, Professor Hu came to teach us English. I thought the class is very boring and also the text is too easy for me. And I found I didn』t have enough new words. I think soon I』ll adapt this.
This evening, we had class meeting and then I went back to my dorm room. I had a bath and then went to bed.
The first day passed quickly. I hope I can learn more knowledge here.

Tuesday July 19th 2005
Today is the second day of the summer camp. The weather wasn』t very good. It rained some time.
This morning I got up at five o』clock. And then we went to the playground. We did some jogging, Professor Hu changed his way of teaching, and I think he will become better. I could understand most of what he said. I think I』ll soon adapt it. And I hope we can be more active.
In the afternoon, our foreign teacher Stephnie talked about music to us. It was the group. From England called the Beatles. I don』t like the Beatles. I don』t like their songs at all. Then we played games. That』s too easy. I think those two games must be played by young children, not us.
Also, the singing race is coming. I think Daisy is a very good singer. She can sing well. So I think if she takes part in this race, she can get good result so I recommend her.

Wednesday July 20th 2005
Today is Wednesday. It』s the third day of the summer camp. The weather isn』t very good. It reined all the time, and the wind blowed strongly. So I don』t feel happy. And the umbrella is too small for two persons my sister and me water always fell down into my shoes, so my feet got wet. It』s uncomfortable. I think it was really a bad day.
Today, we saw two films, but we only saw half of them. Lion King is very interesting. Tomorrow we will finish watching that. I hope this will get a good ending. Also our Chinese teacher changed a lot. I started to listen to his lessons.
This evening, we three taught Cathy about the language in my hometown. We said a word and then she guessed. She is really very clever. She can understand most of me said, and Mr.Zhang told us something about the ways to study English. I don』t agree with him. I think everyone has his (her) own best way to study English, right?
I hope tomorrow it will be sunny and we can travel around Zhejiang University, I hope so.

Last night ,I dreamed I became a very beautiful brid.I dreamed that I was in a forest. In tht forest,there were a lot of animals.Then,an old bird told us,"we have a very beautiful forest,we should therefore protect it from pollution."All the animals agreed with him.
But the second day,people came into our forest.Many animals were caught.The people wanted to build house and parks in our forest.Many old trees were felled.And then suddenly,nothing was left standing.
I was so shocked and then I bursted out crying.I woke up at midnight.It was only a dream.

A book exhibition

Dropped in at National Library to see the National Book Exhibition which will close today.Suprised at the fact that so many kinds of books are published in our country.Thought the children's books with many pages of colorful illustrations were made very nicely.Bought a of the Chinese version of English and American Short Stories at a 20 per cent discount.Am going to read this through in this good season for reading.

have rested for a week. I began to feel bored. So I went out with my friends.

telephones have sold out. Finally, my father chose a Motorola one.

Today is Thursday, The autumn comes, so the weather is very cold.And we we wear more clothes. we always catch cold easily at this season .So we must take care of ourselves well ,then we can not delay studying.
因為中文英文的語法不同,所以說話順序翻譯的時候要注意,不要完全按照中文順序,要合情合理.而且寫日記的時候記得時態要一直的.

It was the first day of our winter holiday. All of us were very happy. Why? Because we have one months to do things we love to do. We are free. Although we have some homework. But we can finish them in several days. And the rest time we can make good use of. My god! We have been very tired after hard studying. In winter holidays, I want to have full sleep and eat good food in order to replenish myself. Last but not the least, I will have a good rest.

January 14 2007
It was the second day of our winter holiday. I felt good. I felt I』m free. I had a lot of time to do things I like. My parents are in Beijing. So I live alone but I don』t feel lonely. But I didn』t do something special. I stayed at home and watched TV. Oh! I wrote an English daily composition. It was my homework. Today, I have slept for 14 hours. I thought I was very tired. It was time for dinner. I must go! I am very hungry.

It was the third day of our winter holiday. Today, there are many business in my mother』s company. So my mother told me to help my uncle who is the manager of my mother』s company. Today I began to learn 「Li Yang」 English. At first I was very afraid because my English is not very well. But after ten minutes, I was not afraid it, the lesson is not as hard as I think. Instead, it is so easy that I can remember twenty sentences in fifteen minutes. After it .My mother ask me some English questions, I can answer it quickly except two of them. Today I have to do much housework. First wash the clothes , then cook the meal、tidy the room。In the afternoon, I met a friend named dengyuming. We played computer game all the afternoon.
When all the things have been finished, I only want to go to sleep because it is ten now. But when I began to sleep, I remembered that the computer wasn』t close. So I could only stand up and close it. Then I was fall asleep. Now, I hope everything goes well!

「Why we must study all the day? We can only have free time when we have lunch and super.
Sometimes I nearly have no time to go to sleep. In our life, there is only work. Nothing
else.」 Today I read the passage, I can only say:「that』s too bad」. Is it?
I think we should work for everybody, not ourselves. If we work for ourselves, we cannot
work for long and good. For example: maozedong, zhouenlai and so on. I wish we could
work as them.

Today I go to shopping with my friend. When we are walking in the street, a girl comes to us, and says to us: Could you help me? We feel amazed. Then the girl tells us she was walking with her mother just before, but she does not know where is her mother now. She looks like very anxious, and wears tear in her eyes. So we believe she at last. Besides, we lend her ten yuan to take a tax to home. We feel so good, because we can help someone.
But a unacceptable matter is happen at last. When we are ready go back home, come out from a shop, we see a girl whom we meet before are saying the same word to another people.

I didn't get up until my brother came.Because last nighr I fell asleep too late.Last night,I saw the movie-"Bank of brother",so I fell asleep at12:40.
My brother came here and played with me.We plaued the computer games from 9:30 to 11:30.We were very happy.After lunch,we watched TV.Aboule 3:00,we went to play basketball to playground.From 3:30 to 5:30.OH!I am very very tired now!I wanted to have a good rest.

Yesterday I had a cold , I just lay down and rest in bed . Today is morning , his mother take he to hospital to see a doctor . The doctor look over and gave some medicine . Then I have some medicine . At night I am better than yesterday . I can do my home work .

人們常說：要真正學好英語，就要培養用英語思想的能力。但是，要做到這一點是不容易的。有一個簡單易行的辦法可以幫助我們練慣用英語思想，那就是用英語寫日記。日記是十分自由的文體，不像作文，必須有正式的主題，講究文體。日記是思想，是感情，是內心的一切。有朋友來你家作客，你可以寫：We had a wonderful time together． 春節快到了，你或許可以這樣寫：The Spring Festival is around the corner. It's the most important occasion for the family reunion．甚至在夏天與蚊子的「斗爭」也可以成為日記的內容：These annoying mosquitoes didn't seem to be afraid of the mosquito coil(蚊香)I burned. So I had to hang up a mosquito-net. It was fun to lie inside the net reading a favorite magazine while those unpleasant small insects were looking at me helplessly outside.

2．寫好英語日記的要點

1)養成積累詞語的習慣

從某種意義上說，寫英語日記又是最難的寫作，因為它包羅萬象，涉及到生活的各個方面，對詞彙的要求特別高。因此，在日常學習中，必須做一個「有心人」，准備一本筆記本，對一些英語的習慣表達法及時記錄下來，以便在以後記日記的時候可以使用。在開始記日記時，碰到一兩個英語詞彙不會寫，不妨用漢語先寫上，以後學會了英語表達，再補上去。千萬不要因為一兩個詞寫不出，就沒了記英語日記的興趣，以至放棄用英語記日記。只要你注意積累，一定會發覺自己英語日記中夾雜的漢語會越來越少，最後變為全部地道的英語日記。

2)英語日記的寫作格式

日記的第一行，要寫明年、月、日與星期，然後要寫明當天的氣候狀況，如果是游記，還要寫明地點。這一部分中天氣狀況比較難寫。下面是一些常用的描寫天氣的英語詞語：

日記正文可以是敘事、描述、說明、議論等各種形式。其實，由於日記是非常隨便的，因此上述文體常常結合在一起使用。日記內容取自生活，可長可短，有時無事可記，一兩句也可以。切忌今天記，明天不記，三天打魚，兩天曬網，破壞了記日記的情趣。另外，日記也應該盡可能講究一些文采，切忌寫成流水賬。

3)英語日記中的縮寫與省略

英語日記中的第一行的月份與星期通常都是縮寫的：

Tuesday----Tues. Wednesday----Wed.

Thursday----Thur. 或 Thurs. Friday----Fri.

Saturday----Sat. January----Jan.

February----Feb. March----Mar.

另外，英語日記中由於頻繁出現I，因此，常常省略，如：In the evening went with Xiao Li to the cinema. Finishing exercises, went to play tennis. 但如果省去I，會造成語義不清時，則不可省去：

My sister is good at English, but I am just so-so.

實際上，省與不省I，只是作者的一種習慣，為了記日記的方便。

最後需要一提的是，英語日記習慣一年一本，因此日期不必寫年份，而只是在每年一本的日記本封面上或者在日記的第一頁和最後一頁加以註明即可。

A sunny day

I got up early today to watch the sunrise. While I waited for the sun to rise, I sat beside my window and thought of my future. Soon I will be a grown man and I won't be a baby anymore. Maybe I'll be going to college if I pass the college entrance examination. I didn't want to think of not passing this important examination, for my parents are counting on me to do so.

Anyway, if I don't pass this one I should try again next year. I thought about my parents too. They have worked so hard to give us children a good life. Now, they are getting older little by little. There are more grey hairs now in Mother's hair. As for my father, he's beginning to have a hard time reading the newspaper. He uses a pair of glasses now. All these thoughts touch me and tell me that time is indeed swiftly passing.

The sun was coming out of the horizon. First it was just a ray of light. But little by little the whole circle started coming into view. The sky was a bright orange with a blue haze surrounding the emptiness. Soon I could feel the warmth of the sun as its rays passed through my window pane. The view was really beautiful, more beautiful than any picture I had ever seen. In a few minutes everyone was awake and everyone went on their own way with their lives. Another day started and it was another beginning for all of us.
