是德國語言學家雅可布·格林和威廉·格林兄弟收集、整理、加工完成的德國民間文學——《格林童話》中《小紅帽》一篇的主人公。

「小紅帽」的故事版本多達一百多個，小紅帽最早的結局是被邪惡的野狼吞噬。

後來，在格林兄弟筆下，勇敢的獵人殺死大野狼，救出了小紅帽。
